I'd add that having a great run in warm rain, or cool light breeze, or in freshly-fallen snow is pretty blissful, too.
Fall, apples, turkey, family, cozy,
Not waking up with a jolt because you have a super packed day but leisurely getting up.
Healthy and delicious salads.
BEING HAPPY & IN LOVE WITH GOD, MYSELF & OTHERS!
KNOWING THERE IS NOTHING THAT GOD CAN'T HANDLE!
FAITH THAT THERE IS A BRIGHTER DAY! HOPE THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!
BLISS IS PLEASURE THAT COMES ONCE YOU HAVE PUT FORTH YOUR VERY BEST EFFORT TO LIVE, LAUGH & LOVE!
BLISS IS KNOWING YOU ARE RIGHT WITH THE WORLD...U HAVE NO ILL-WILL AGAINST OTHERS....AND YOU ARE AT PEACE WITH YOURSELF!
BLISS ALWAYS COMES AFTER TRIALS & AFTER YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH THE BAD TIMES.....YOU APPRECIATE THE RAINBOW AFTER THE STORM!
BLISS IS WHEN EVERYTHING IS RIGHT AND YOU FEEL IT IN YOUR SPIRIT!
No doubts, no regrets, no wants - not even the want to prolong the moment.
Just being.

I've suddenly realized that I've made several references to being in the last third of my life. So, I will define my response to the question this way.
The first third was spent in 'survival' mode, enduring childhood abuse of every kind. The second third was learning how to be in a relationship, raising a family, working at a job to pay the bills - a different kind of 'survival.'
Now, here I am making my way towards the 'end' or the final third of my existence. It's a little scary but I'm also very excited about what's ahead. I'm out there finally, throwing caution to the wind, trying new things, trusting that what I need will flow into my life with each step I take towards my new life.
So, to answer the question, "What comes to my mind when I hear the word 'Bliss?" Financial freedom!!
I do have to have to pay attention to that and be pragmatic, making sure I have enough to make my life comfortable, so that I am free to explore that life.
* A completely new idea when first grasped.
* Seeing an old troublesome situation from a fresh perspective.
* Having an especially productive day at the office.
* A client telling me 'thank you'.
* Spending time at home with the windows open and music playing.
* Cooking a fresh meal.
* Coffee. Any time. Any place. But especially on the front porch in the early morning.
* Being in the presence of old trees.
* That certain slant of light Emily Dickinson wrote about.
* Reading.
* Writing.
* A clean house.
* Holding my daughter.
Unfortunately it’s not as straight forward as where there is good chocolate there is love and where there is love there is bliss because other chocolate experiences haven’t opened up my bliss-meter like that one -wouldn’t that be great, just eat a bliss bar and be there. The recipe for bliss remains illusive but maybe, like good cooks everywhere, with the right ingredients we can make our own recipes.
Ugh...must...open...eyes...and...get...back...to...work.......
Ideally, I'm am sailing...on a small but capable sailboat, with no noisy motors...only the trade winds to speed me along. I'm in the West Indies, in the waters just off Antigua and Barbuda; I can see their white and pink beaches wrapping along their coastlines. There is a cooler full of ice cold Ting nearby. Sunshine and sea are all around me; the sea is a shade of blue that is like no other. There are no sounds but the wind in the sails, the birds overhead, the waves, and the soundtrack of reggae that plays through my head.
I feel happy. I feel healed. This is my bliss.
However, Bliss to me is the Spiritual Orgasm when connecting with the eternal beloved...Abraham Maslow referred to them as Peak Moments.
Thanks for the reminder. Lifetime journey it takes
Pure sensation.
Awareness of nothing but pleasure.

Sophisticated Lustrous
A walk in the park, or on our favourite trails on a sunny Fall afternoon (my favourtie season) ; the colours and smells are spectacular.
Relaxing in a hot bubble bath, with a glass of red vino, usually scented candles; mostly during the winter, especially on a snowy evening or after some intense form of outdoor exercise.
These blissful moments are usually when I feel most relaxed and at peace/content with myself, my life and my relationships, help me get inspired and provide me time for self-reflection.
