It's called 'biopsychoimmunology' (how's that for a mouthful!).

Basically through the simple act of smiling (& here's the kicker..... whether we have anything to smile about or not) our brain doesn't know the difference & releases chemicals to make us happy.

I tried it recently a la 'Eat Pray Love' - meditating while simply smiling & it didn't take long before I was really grinning from ear to ear.

my extremely wide-ranging interests. sometimes i think this is a disability, since i am such a dilettante in so many things - expert in none. however, i've decided to embrace this quality. it actually stands me in good stead over and over again. i genuinely enjoy so many different types of things. i have many enthusiasms! and i can make conversation with almost anyone.

I am enthusiastic about the personal trainer I just HIRED & getting my groove back! I am also enthusiastic about letting go of what is 'required' or 'expected' of me & just throwing myself, full throttle into life with expression! I am also enthusiastic about Carrie & Danielle's book arriving in my mailbox soon!! (maybe today)! YAY!

Cool, thank you. Some people are starting to carry our Daily Q&A; on their own blogs, like a widget. It good for daily juice and traffic in all directions. Let me know if you want to set that up, we're just figuring out how other can really run with this.

I'm enthusiastic about my ability to encourage and help youth jump in with both feet. I'm also enthusiastic about the fact that I shaved my head to raise money for cancer research (in front of 1300 students and teachers) which inspired a 15 minute raising of $900. And...finally, I'm enthusiastic about the new doo - a brush cut.

it can also harden one's stomach muscles..and this a fact! EX: when one does laugh - keep in mind what other muscles you are being used, you will notice that your stomach muscle is being used - in a positive manner.

Yes, enthusiasm, can be contagious energy! I tend to spread this to my friends and co-workers and sometimes to strangers - about whatever topic is in the moment.
Presently I'm enthusiatic that my friend introduced me to a website where I can transfer my blog information to. This will be much more beneficial for my business.

The thing about me that makes me enthusiastic right now is that after 34 years of life, I am finding that I am really just starting to connect the dots. I finally feel a wisdom and knowledge that is emerging and growing. I see relationships that I wouldn't have seen when I was younger. I understand greater levels of abstraction than I understood when I was younger. I feel like I am blossoming.

Hmmm. I always think of "enthusiasm" as "happy, happy, joy, joy". But filled with God? OK, I'm enthusiastic about continuing to be enthusiastic! I'm enthusiastic to seek God, to hear his voice, know his direction and feel his presence every moment. I also think of enthusiasm as being filled to overflowing but I'm just not feeling it today. However, I can sit in silence and know his presence and I'm enthusiastic that I can do that!

Love enthuses me. I love to share and receive love and all the joys that come along with love. The sound of laughter that rings from a child when I do something funny. The joking of family members and hugs, kisses and innocent touches such as a pat on the back the ringing of encouragement toward one another. Those are all things that rings the presence and excitement of God.

The teacher/facilitator in me. I have a gift - I can help others learn skills and thought patterns. It is something that I love and use in my work - all different phases of work. I live for the "ah ha!" moment that students show when something clicks and they finally get the lesson. This is specially exciting when teaching adults.

My endurance. After a serious injury in 2006 I really let my exercise regime slip. It used to be that I could knock off a half marathon easily in under 90 minutes, but I've really gotten out of the habit. So it was with some trepidation that I started hiking again last week. It was amazingly reassuring to be by far the fastest person up the Stawamus Chief, one of our local mountains, last weekend. Carrie and I hiked the Grouse Grind at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. This weekend I'm taking things up a notch with a dual ascent of Mount Brunswick and Mount Harvey.

I am enthusiastic about recapturing my health. For the last several months I have been sluggish and moody, well more moody than usual...
I have not felt like going anywhere or doing anything.
Turns out heredity has caught up with my thyroid. It is now under control and I have the energy to not just to do things I love, but things I need to do.

I am so enthusiastic about self-discovery right now. Finding who I am, what I love and what my strengths are. I am enthusiastic about life and all the possibilities it offers and I make myself ready to learn and grow. Teaching yoga and writing. During my Style Statement session with you, you mentioned that someone once told you we can do two and a half things well. I think that's true. I'm not sure what my half is yet. Thanks for asking!
