My style statement is Creative Classic, and I define it as creating artistic works that stand the test of time. I am most creative with ideas, so my measure of whether it is a good idea is whether people continue to use it long after I have moved on - and usually, they do. I also have a strong need to have things be of high quality - I am quite the perfectionist. I think that both of these are serving me well as I pursue my new career interest - screenwriting. I have also revamped my wardrobe to reflect my style statement - mod fits me perfectly; it's fun, it is creative, but there is a definite structure and quality to the clothing. I will reflect on this though, and think about other ways to incorporate my style statement.

Re: This Year, Choose to Honor Your Style Statement

I know what that's like - the world makes it sound impossible, doesn't it? I have a fear of pursuing creative work, "knowing" there's no money to be made to support myself.

Re: This Year, Choose to Honor Your Style Statement

Yeah - being creative can be scary -- for me it's a money thing. I need to challenge my assumption that I can't make enough money being creative.

Thanks for the love--right back atcha.

Re: This Year, Choose to Honor Your Style Statement

Ohhh my. Honoring my Style Statement sure sounds like an adventure. I'm also part Creative, so I think I've got some work to do in that department. This is a tough, anxiety-ridden thing for me, as I've relied so much on my first word, that my second is something I have to reach out and break out to do. What growth! It sounds good.

I find even painting freaks me out: Its my Elegant side. I become so fixed on details that its hard to get the basics in shape, or to have freedom of expression without criticizing every little thing. It seems that I'm suffering from some serious inner conflict, here. Ah well. I've much to sort through, and getting out of my shell will do it. I'll work on my list and get back to you, Suzyn.

Love to my Creative sister. Its been nice having you around in this community.
