One more truth: there is hope. My husband and I met online. I was crazy about him before I met him and when I saw him in person, I knew there was no turning back.

This is great stuff, Lauren. Thanks!

My wife and I were introduced online and wrote deep and passionate emails for 8 months before we met. We were openly in love and strongly connected, but it still was a different and initially awkward experience getting used to being together in person. Didn't take long though - I proposed a week later, and now 10 years later we still cherish the memory of how we were able to build our relationship in such an old-fashioned way, free from sexual and social pressures.

It's good! But a recent study found most people were impressed with their online dating match until actually meeting them face to face, sometimes between them and the door! Also, you can tell a great deal about someone from their voice, and tone. Helps weed out the fakes. We should alert for all these types of problems. Great post and I look forward to reading more! :) Thanks a lot!
