  • Great article. I'm a diabetic and my girlfriend is hypoglycemic...and to top it off, we are both obsessive foodies. I drool over her sugary treats and she deems my plate of greens unsatisfying. Perspective is everything...but to us, the last thing would feel is guilt for eating. We're more likely to feel that way if we didn't eat everything in sight. Besides, for every dozen pastries, there is a gym.

  • Oh my gosh. This is so good. Take the guilt out of eating, because guilt is never productive. You are so right, eating should be joyous. Often we're sharing a meal with someone we care about, so why would we polute that experience by throwing guilt on our plates. Doesn't mean I'm going to eat an entire German chocolate cake, only that I'm going to appreciate my eating experience fully.
