As for the children topic I find often the first question I'm asked is "do you have kids?"  And saying no halts the conversation. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we asked each other, "How's your day going?  What's new for you? Our earlier passions are not worth "less" than our current ones; they were our passions at that time in our lives. They are equally meaningful and important. In time our current passions will fade to make room for something else; something different, but equally meaningful and important.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Lana may feel that having children was more important than having her career. Good for her.
