It is way too easy to get side tracked by neighbors, children, and of course the holidays.

If you respect your own schedule (both work time and time off) others will respect it as well.

Re: Freelance Tips: How to Survive Working From Home This Holidays

Good that I found your blog Sandi. You have written really good advices here. By the way I'm Arvin Kelly and a work-at-home-parent, too. Lately, I was thinking a lot of things about how can i manage my time with work and family this holiday season. I'm enjoying the advantages of working at my own time phase but I noticed most of the time i do overwork to earn more and take for granted the main reason why I decided to work at home--my family. Thanks for the I dead Sandi. I know it will be of big help to me.

Arvin Kelley

http://wahp.me
We are happy!

Re: Freelance Tips: How to Survive Working From Home This Holidays

Sandi this is such wise advice. I have worked from home for the past 10 years and it is always a struggle to find the boundaries. Planning for time off is key. I have taken to bolding out days on my paper (and outlook) calendar so there is no mistake! I also know that sometimes even setting aside an hour with a candle and some quiet time is a good reminder that there is life outside of work!
