Carrie and Danielle: AllTop, and why everyone isn’t just like you

Good good points. And congratulations. I find it hilarious when hot new startups ridicule "female" content. When I started food writing and exploring the then new world of social networking, I discovered Digg. I kept looking for any articles on food, cooking, wine etc. Even geeks must eat, I told them. I asked more than once why they wouldn't add a food and wine or food and cooking category.

The boys' reply? A swift and blunt reply it was: "OUR readers would consider such articles spam."

How embarrassing for them. One more example of youth being wasted on the young. (And an aside to the men who keep funding short-sited and arrogant young boys running startups w/o diversity of life experience or staff...ask yourself if you're only funding guys who remind you of yourself. Then, if you don't know why a "yes" is problematic, brush up your resume.)

Well, I guess we could say all's well that ends well. Digg has added a category for food and cooking. See men and women cannot live on RedBull alone.

    Cheers!
